In my house, I am the mother of the media. In most of the instances where my sibblings want to watch a movie that may have some questionable content in it, I am the go-to.

I've had some people either asking me for good, clean, moral book suggestions for their children, or asking me to review a particular book. So, I am starting a blog so I can do this in a more "formal" manner, and avoid any instances where I have to repeat myself. 

I also know there is a large lack of good books and movies in our society, and what is intended to be child-appropriate, is...not. So, if I read or watch anything of worth, I will post about it here and let you know the pros and cons of whatever it was I read or watched. 

Before I start, I will say that Common Sense Media is great for this sort of thing. However, there are two major flaws with it: 

1.) It doesn't have everything. Oftentimes a lot of those awesome, obscure finds just don't have a review on there. 

2.) It's not Catholic. A lot of things on there aren't seen as wrong by the world, so they go unmentioned, and then you get a lovely surprise when you go to read/watch the book/movie. 

Here, I will be giving CATHOLIC insight on the books/movies. 

However, I will issue one WARNING. 

I will talk about explicit content on here if necessary. My goal is to tell you what is inappropriate in whatever book/movie I'm reviewing, and I am not responsible if your children are reading over your shoulder.
